Time Trials, Team Photo & More

    Good Morning Sharks,

We are one week away from our first meet. Please RSVP or select your Meet Entry preference for the June 1st meet! From the home page on https://cameronwood.swimtopia.com you can click the MEET ENTRY button associated to the meet and then follow instructions there. You can also go to the Meet Calendar page under the Meets & Practices tab and select your Meet Entry for all meets as well.

    Time Trials

will be moved to Wednesday, May 27th. The weather outlook for this afternoon looks a bit iffy and tomorrow's forecast is a bit better. If you are not able to make time trials tomorrow, we can run those swimmers during Thursday practices either during their age group time or for older kids during Shrimper practice time.

We use time trials to get seed times for meets for the swimmers and to help us know what strokes they can swim fairly proficiently for the first meet. For Shrimpers, we determine whether the swimmer is ready to be entered into a meet. Meaning if during time trials they are unable to swim the length of the pool unassisted, they will not be entered in the meet. We keep working with these kids and try to get them meet ready at some point during the season with the goal of all Shrimpers swimming by the last meet.

    Team Photo and T-Shirt Pick-up

Team Photo will take place Sunday, May 31st from 7:45-815pm around when the pool closes for the evening (no swimmers in the water!). Swimmers can pick-up t-shirts & caps starting at 7:30pm that night by the playground picnic tables or they can also pick-up during Saturday morning practices times from 8:45-10:15am.

SwimTopia Notifications - if you are not receiving practice cancellation alerts, please make sure you have the SwimTopia app downloaded to your phone with Notification allowed. You will need to be signed into the app and then have notifications configured to show/pop-up on your home screen, otherwise please check the app itself to view notifications directly prior to practices & meets.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend!
